DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nWE WANT ALL OF YOU \nWe throw dance parties where all bodies are invited. You already know how to dance\, we’re just here to give you permission to embrace all of the ways your body wants to move. \nCome alone\, come with friends\, dip in a toe or plunge in the deep end. However you want to party\, we’re here for it. \nSo that everyone feels safe to unleash their full selves on the dancefloor our only rule is to be excellent to one another (aka the “don’t be an asshole” policy). What does that mean? We expect you to be great at respecting other peoples’ boundaries and bodies\, to pay attention\, and to use your words if you’re unsure. Trust us\, asking is way less awkward than getting it wrong. \nLOCAL TEACHERS AND DJS\nWe’ll kick off the evening with an intro to social dancing for anyone who’d like some tips on dancing with a partner\, before local DJ’s get us moving with tracks ranging from slow and squishy to high-energy bangers. \nNo partner or experience necessary\, just bring yourself and shoes you can move in. \nLINE-UP\n7.30pm all-levels workshop\n8.30pm our DJ’s bring the party \nACCESS\nThe venue is all on one level from pavement to dancefloor. There is a single-user\, unadapted bathroom on the same level. \nIf you want to attend the class and might need some modifications\, DM or email email hidden; JavaScript is required so we can make sure our teaching meets your needs. \nBROKE?\nIf you can’t afford a ticket and want to come dancing\, email email hidden; JavaScript is required and we’ll try to help. \nWHAT THE F IS FUSION?\nFusion is partner dancing\, without the baggage. We’re not here to stick to a rigid set of steps\, but to actually dance with another person to good music on a night out. Fusion is all about improvisation\, connecting with your partner and seeing what happens. We don’t care if you’ve never danced before\, as long as you’re having a good time. \nFusion gets it’s name from fusing different styles of dance – maybe you’ve danced blues\, tango\, lindy\, west coast swing or hip hop or maybe you just like to get on the dance floor and shake it\, you have something to bring! \nFor us\, fusion is more than a dance\, it’s also a way of living the future we want to build. That means it is queer\, it is feminist\, and we don’t want anyone left behind. \nEntry requirements: no age restrictions

Trust us\, asking is way less awkward than getting it wrong. \nFRIDAY NIGHT AT KALEIDOSCOPE XXL \nWe’re kicking off the weekend Bristol-style at the Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft\, a community-first venue who’s ethos of art-as-activism is one we can get behind. \nSince this falls on International Women’s day\, we’re excited to bring you and all woman-and-nonbinary line-up of DJs and live music. Our live act for the night is  Coren feat. Enaira \nYes\, Coren is back at Kaleidoscope XXL. This time with a synth\, another drum machine\, and gorgeous harmonies from Enaira.  Coren writes fusion-infused electro-pop\, built from sparkly synth\, gentle piano\, electronic beats\, and soaring vocals. Inspired by MUNA\, Sam Smith\, and Rina Sawayama\, they sing about love\, panic attacks and everything in between.  Enaira is an enchanting singer from Germany\, who loves adding second voices to enhance the emotion of the music.   Coren and Enaira met at a fusion retreat and have been singing together ever since. Enaira’s gorgeous harmonies add extra sparkle and feels to Coren’s songs. They can’t wait to sing for you. 🧡 \nSee you on the dancefloor! 💜✨ \nWTF IS FUSION? \nFusion is partner dancing\, without the baggage. We’re not here to stick to a rigid set of steps\, but to actually dance with another person to good music on a night out. Fusion is all about improvisation\, connecting with your partner and seeing what happens. We don’t care if you’ve never danced before\, as long as you’re having a good time. \nFusion gets it’s name from fusing different styles of dance – maybe you’ve danced blues\, tango\, lindy\, west coast swing or hip hop or maybe you just like to get on the dance floor and shake it\, you have something to bring! \nFor us\, fusion is more than a dance\, it’s also a way of living the future we want to build. That means it is queer\, it is feminist\, and we don’t want anyone left behind. \nOur musical goals for Kaleidoscope XXL are to: \nBroaden the range of music we dance to in fusion\nPlatform artists who are left out of the mainstream\nOf course\, that doesn’t mean we’re abandoning the classic floor-fillers. We’ve already got a several live acts in the works that we are very excited about\, and a list of DJ’s to make you swoon.  \nParties will run: \nFriday: 8pm to 3am at PRSC\nSaturday: 8pm to 4am at The Hideout\nSunday: 8pm to 1.30am at The Loco Klub
