The archaeological dig that took place on Turbo Island in Stokes Croft last December has now been shown on BBC TV Inside Out West. Professor Mark Horton of Bristol University declared this project to be “One of the most important archaeological projects going on currently in the UK”. Archaeologists, the homeless and the local Police Force worked together to sift through the dirt of Turbo Island, to reveal aspects of Stokes Croft’s Past.
