Having repainted the exterior, Joe intends to remove much of the interior panelling to reveal the original Victorian skylights, thus demonstrating a growing confidence in the future of the area as a centre of excellence, where independent local businesses can thrive.

Zazu’s Kitchen at the corner of Jamaica Street and Stokes Croft is building an enviable reputation for great food. Restaurateur Toby Bywater and chef, Will Beasley are making their mark on Stokes Croft’s growing culinary reputation.
About two weeks ago, liz Krcma’s splendid porcelain sculpture (Pictured Below) went missing from the PRSC shop window. Priced at £180, the piece is unique, and easily identifiable.
The ashes of Alan “Bear” Smith, Stokes Croft Busking street poet, who died late last year of a heroin overdose are now with us in Stokes Croft.
The splendid mural by 3-Dom and Voyder, which graces the upper elevations of the new building on the former site of Mary’s junk shop on Stokes Croft, can now be seen in all its glory, since the removal of the scaffolding that has masked it since last year.
The mystery of Stokes Croft’s disappearing flowers has been solved, thanks to “Typowriter” who spotted the sculptures at BCC’s Dovercourt Road depot.
