Despite any concerns that may have been raised, the sale of approximately 1,000 Banksy Molotov posters took place on Saturday May 7th amongst much good humour, and without incident, as several organisations including PRSC, Coexist, Bookfair organisers and Banksy’s people worked together to ensure that all went off peacefully.
This film was shot during the eviction of the squatters at the former Jesters Comedy Club in Cheltenham Road, Bristol on March 16th 2010.

I attended the Bristol Magistrates Court this morning to attend the trial of Cai.
Bailiffs arrived to evict the Tesco squatters at about 10 am today, 16th March. A large Police presence including at least six Mounted Police arrived to ensure public order.
As the days lengthen, the demand for sites to paint increases. Stokes Croft’s growing reputation for Artistic Excellence in its public spaces means that people are queuing to paint here.
Portraying the reality of the Jesters Squat, this film also highlights the aggressive behaviour of the Tesco operatives who sought to evict the squatters by force.
The archaeological dig that took place on Turbo Island in Stokes Croft last December has now been shown on BBC TV Inside Out West.
The March took place on 13.02. 10, marking the beginning of the Community’s resistance
to the possibility of a Tesco store in Stokes Croft/ Montpelier.
