Bristol Festival, in conjunction with PRSC and Coexist, propose a street festival here in Stokes Croft. Under the name of StokesCroftStreetFest, the idea is to run a week of activities, workshops/ exhibitions that culminate in a Stokes Croft-wide Street Festival on Saturday 22nd May.

Police work with shopkeepers to amend licences to forbid retail of high strength lagers and cider.

Stokes Croft local beat officers have brokered  an apparently voluntary agreement with the six independent retailers of  alcohol in Stokes Croft to ban sales of  beers and cider with an alcoholic content of more than 6%.
