Over the past six months, Developing Health & Independence (DHI) in partnership with DIGITAL WITNESS have had the privilege to begin to build a community of short films with a number of peers.

These are a series of short animations looking at some of the complex trauma the group both support, and are in recovery from. They were made in agency with an organisation called ‘Young Minds’.

These are individual pieces, told through the medium of digital storytelling. We hope they start to facilitate an opportunity for personal healing, along with the chance to start reconnecting with their community.

We are fortunate to include the work from another project completed by peers from Golden Key Peer mentor service.

Date: Thursday 17 August, 17:30
Location: PRSC SPACE, 17-25 Jamaica Street, Stokes Croft, Bristol

Developing Health & Independence is a charity that challenges social exclusion by supporting people to achieve their potential and contribute to the richness and wellbeing of their community. DHI deals not only with the health and emotional wellbeing of our clients, but also with practical issues such as housing, social isolation, and lack of basic education and employable skills.
