January is not done, the weather has been the worst for thirty years, but the painting continues unabated. Proof if any were needed of the burning desire of local artists to make of Stokes Croft a gallery… Over the next two months , we will be canvassing locals, businesses, property owners to ascertain whether Stokes Croft is heading in a good direction…and inviting participation. if you have a property that might need a spruce up, then please contact PRSC.
Meanwhile, please enjoy some of the stuff that has sprung up recently…

We believe that this wall on the full Moon is to become a dedicated graffiti gallery.
Witty little intervention on Dighton Street…
The practice wall continues to receive strong attention.
Yes, I know this is an old one… but did you know that the property owner Bristol Institute of Music (BIMM) deliberately saved this stencil, but that BCC painted over it without asking?…
Jamie Gillman has been making wood sculptures all over the Croft of late… Watch out for his stuff in “The Lamentable Tragedy” showing at the Bike Showroom in February. This elephant can be viewed/purchased at PRSC HQ.
Silent Hobo and Turbo at work on Tucket’s Building.

another piece witha political edge from 3-Dom…
And, finally a blockbuster from Ziml on the Jamaica Street fence. The retro colour scheme is courtesy of a crate of ’90’s aerosols found on EBay…
